Spring & Summer Color

Last season, we were seeing two-toned hair that was dark at the root and light on the bottom. Definitely ditch hair color where the bottom is a different color than the top. Ombre color right now is more filtered with a lightness around the face and minimal color for the rest of the hair. The result is a more natural look. Consider having your highlights painted onto the hair so the result is a sun-kissed beachy look. You don’t have to be a blonde for this. Brunettes can get a copper-tone that looks like the sun lightened it.

Modern Bobs

When we think of a bob, we often think of a cut that is one length, or shorter on the back and longer in the front. This is the only the basic line. There are a million ways to make a bob. A mod bob where the underneath section is much shorter than the top is very hot right now. Think of heavy top that is shattered out and undercut underneath. The long blunt bob below the shoulder, or Lob is still trending too.

The Beachy Wave

The beachy wave can be achieved by applying a texture spray to wet hair and then blow-drying hair dry with your head upside down. Next, using a curling iron, wrap your hair in thick sections away from your face. Apply minimal heat to each section because you want to create a wave, not a curl. Finally put more texture spray in again underneath and on top. You want your hair to look and feel like it has been in and out of the salty ocean water, not like you are Nellie Oleson from Little House on the Prairie.
