It seems like every female celeb is wearing eyelash extensions. They look glamorous and we want to look like them, so we are getting lash extensions too. However, there is a darker side to extensions that people don’t often talk about, and that is how your lashes look once you take them off. They don’t talk about it because the damage isn’t pretty. In fact, it leaves your lashes with a pitiful appearance.

Duration Matters

If you have them applied once for a special occasion you probably have little to fear, however, if you are someone that gets the fills put in every few weeks for months or years it only makes sense that your lashes would be less durable and lustrous after having something glued to them for ages.

Proper Removal

If you aren’t someone who waited until the last lash fell, we hope that you had yours properly removed because just plucking them off yourself can have unsightly consequences. It is best to have the spa that applied the lashes remove them with a special solvent and steam. Not interested in going back to the spa? You can remove the extensions yourself with steam in the shower combined with a waterproof eye makeup remover that contains oil or a lash adhesive remover designed for home use. Put a little on your thumb and pointer finger and gently massage it into the lash. Presto! Natural lashes again.

Nourish & Enjoy

RapidLash is the perfect conditioning product to use after taking your lashes off. The Hexatein® complex in RapidLash provides your lashes with the nourishment they desperately crave. After a few weeks of regular applications you will wonder why you ever got the extensions in the first place.

Enjoy washing your eyes, sleeping with your face in the pillow, and taking steamy showers again.
