Once you have perfected your lush RapidLash lashes, don’t be afraid the curl them. The tool itself looks like some sort of Elizabethan torture devise so it’s no wonder so many of us shy away from using it. Regular contributor, Kelly Bruce of Bella Bride Makeup, tells us what we need to hear about the dreaded eyelash curler.
“Unless you have naturally curly lashes, curl them with a lash curler. It makes a huge difference and takes it takes very little practice. Most women need a bend in their lashes to help make their eye look more open. If the lashes are straight, they stick straight out.
If you are nervous about using one be sure you are seated comfortably, close to the mirror and take your time. Get as close to the base of your lashes as you can without pinching the skin. Always close the eyelash curler to clamp it slowly. If you feel any pinching you will know you are too close to the base of your lashes. Hold your squeeze for a three count before releasing.
For lash curling experts: try curling your lashes midway up the shaft. Always do this BEFORE applying mascara, otherwise you run the risk of ripping some lashes out!”
