Everyone knows that RapidLash products help to fortify your lashes, brows and hair but did you know that your diet has a lot to do with maintaining a healthy appearance too? This week, the fabulous Jennifer Rapp, owner of Culinary Creations by Jenny, shared a delicious lash enhancing recipe with us!

A Passion for Beauty… and Food!

“I am a well-known beauty product “junkie”! I love trying new products… especially one’s that actually do what they are supposed to! Another one of my passions is food…I own a company that provides catering services as well as cooking lessons and parties. When I decided to try RapidLash, one of my first thoughts was, what about sharing some of my own favorite foods and recipe ideas that actually help to provide the body with nutrients that encourage thicker, fuller lashes?

Omega-3’s are the Key!

Foods that provide Omega-3 fatty acids are the key to fortifying your system with vitamins to nourish you from the inside out. When you are nutritionally balanced on the inside, it will reflect on the outside with a brighter complexion, healthier skin and of course longer, stronger hair growth. Some of my personal favorite Omega-3’s are foods such as avocados, which are SO nutritionally balanced and versatile, flax seeds, and salmon.

Go Avocado

If you haven’t given the avocado a fair chance, you are missing out! They have a surprisingly neutral taste, but the texture is buttery and they can be used in so many dishes. I have two children and they have NO idea that I throw avocado into smoothies, salads, and I have even use them to bake with! One of my own personal favorite ways to eat avocado is to whip it into an easy guacamole.

My favorite recipe (and crowd pleaser) is as follows:
Culinary Creations by Jenny’s Healthy Guacamole
2 ripe avocados
1 small onion, chopped
1 medium tomato, diced
1 clove of garlic, chopped
Lime juice
Sea salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Peel and mash the avocados, then stir in chopped tomato, garlic, onion, lime juice, salt and pepper. Chill for 1 hour before serving. To get an extra Omega-3 kick out of this recipe- serve with flax seed tortilla chips! These can be found in most grocery store chains.
Eating these healthy foods along with using RapidLash has really helped my lashes appear to be much longer and stronger! Proper nutrition along with the regular use of amazing products like this one can do wonders for your hair and skincare regimen.”

Thanks so much Jennifer! We love you and your delicious recipe!
