Position Your Head

“When applying mascara be sure that your head is in the right position to get to the base of your lashes. You will know you have got it right when you are able to see your nostrils. Improper positioning results in application of the mascara to the middle of your lash, rather than the lash base which holds the lashes and helps them to stand up.

Press & Wiggle

Hold your head properly with the wand lightly pressed to the base of your lashes, wiggle the wand gently back and forth, and then barely blink into the wand. Next slowly lift the wand to coat. After allowing a few seconds to dry, use the same wand (without dipping in for more mascara) and change directions going back down over the top and back up again. It’s all about using several coats to apply mascara to the lashes from every angle.

Don’t forget to Roll

Another fool-proof way to apply mascara is to take the wand and push the first coat guiding the lashes inward toward your nose and then back the right way to get a good coat on your lashes. Wiggle and roll the wand as close as you can from the base then up to the top and back down again.”
